Firm Achieves Multiple Chambers USA Rankings, Including "Band 1" for "Corporate/M&A: Highly Regarded" in Texas

Chambers and Partners has recognized Bell Nunnally in its 2021 legal directory Chambers USA in Texas in multiple areas. The firm ranked as “Band 1” for “Corporate/M&A: Highly Regarded” and Senior Associate Natasha Gandhi is named an “Associate to Watch” for “Corporate/M&A.” Partner Jeffrey J. Ansley ranked “Band 3” for “Litigation: White-Collar Crime & Government Investigations.”

Chambers USA has long been one of the most prestigious and widely respected legal rankings, and earning our spot among the state’s leading deal-makers is a testament to the client-focused culture we have built for more than 40 years,” said Christopher B. Trowbridge, Bell Nunnally managing partner. “In aiming to be ‘behind every great company,’ clearly our Corporate/M&A team ranks right up there with some of the largest and most accomplished firms from across the nation.”

The Chambers USA “Corporate/M&A” profile notes that interviewees reported, “[Bell Nunnally] excels by providing a very high level of legal services through very talented and client-friendly attorneys, in a very efficient way."

“Associate to Watch” Gandhi works with clients in a broad range of transactional and business contract matters including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and real estate transactions. Gandhi is a recent Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) “Pathfinder” and a past Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce “Lead YP” class member. Gandhi is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law (J.D., 2014) and the University of Texas at Austin (B.B.A., with honors, 2005).

In Gandhi’s Chambers USA profile, an interviewee commented, “[Natasha] is very organized and excellent to work with. She is extremely detailed."

With his second straight year of recognition, Ansley is the head of Bell Nunnally’s White Collar Criminal and Regulatory Defense practice and a former federal prosecutor. Ansley tries white collar criminal and regulatory defense matters, with a special focus on health care fraud, securities enforcement and other alleged business crimes. Additionally, he conducts internal investigations on behalf of corporate clients involving allegations of securities fraud, health care fraud, tax fraud, employee misconduct, possible violations under the Federal Corrupt Practices Act and trade secret theft violations. In 2019, Ansley led a trial team that secured a full acquittal in a $100 million health care fraud matter brought by the federal government. Ansley is a graduate of Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law (J.D., 1994) and Texas A&M University (B.A., cum laude, 1991).

In Ansley’s Chambers USA profile, an interviewee reported, “[Jeff] is one of my go-tos for white-collar matters and does a great job. He is very, very well versed in healthcare fraud investigations and defense."

Chambers USA ranking tables are compiled through assessment of a firm’s work and opinions from external market sources, with an emphasis on client feedback. Firms and lawyers need to demonstrate “sustained excellence” to be ranked. Fewer than 2,500 unique firms and 20,000 attorneys are recognized across the U.S.

Chambers and Partners’ professional researchers conduct extensive client interviews to make their selections, assessing practices for: technical legal ability, client service, depth of firm teams, commercial vision and business understanding demonstrated; diligence and attention to detail; and value for money. Individual attorneys are vetted for their knowledge and experience, ability, effectiveness and client service.
