More than $800 billion in CARES/PPP funds have been disbursed since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Every PPP recipient was required to make key certifications to the government to obtain funds and loan forgiveness—including representations about business size, use of funds, and need for liquid capital. In this webinar, Craig examines the coming civil enforcement landscape as these certifications come under scrutiny, with an emphasis on the False Claims Act (FCA) and theories of recovery and defense pertinent to future FCA CARES/PPP cases.
