Partner Christopher Trowbridge Selected as a Finalist for "ONE MAN Dallas"

Bell Nunnally & Martin LLP Partner Christopher Trowbridge has been selected as one of the top 20 finalists for "ONE MAN Dallas," which honors a Dallas/Fort Worth area man who embodies the best of Dallas from the perspectives of community involvement, personality, intelligence and fitness. The mission of "ONE MAN Dallas" is to encourage more men to volunteer with charitable organizations and engage in community projects.  Trowbridge was nominated by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas (BGCD).

"I am honored to be considered as a finalist for "ONE MAN Dallas" as my commitment to community service continues to be a priority for me," said Trowbridge. "It has been a privilege to work with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas, an organization that truly changes the lives of and creates opportunities for thousands of under-privileged kids in Dallas."

While carving out time to dedicate to the community, Trowbridge currently manages a demanding and successful practice at Bell Nunnally focused on complex business disputes, including class action defense, securities litigation, broker-dealer disputes, FINRA and AAA arbitrations and appeals. Frequently named a Texas Rising Star by Texas Monthly, Trowbridge represents his clients in high-stakes legal matters in state, federal, and appellate courts, pre-litigation counseling, and complex business negotiations.

Despite the demands of a busy practice, Trowbridge is deeply committed to giving back to his community. He serves on the Board of Directors and its executive committee of the BGCD and is also on the advisory board of the East Dallas Boys & Girls Club where he served as president from 2006-2008. Trowbridge served as the BGCD's Texas Hold 'Em Chairman in 2009 and 2010, which combined raised more than $100,000 for the organization. He is also an active participant with the Dallas Elevators powered by Coca-Cola program, which is a partnership between the BGCD and Coca-Cola to bring extra enrichment and opportunities to select students in the BGCD.

With the leadership and guidance of volunteers, including Trowbridge, the BGCD successfully provides more than 5,000 boys and girls at-risk and in-need with programs and services at 13 different locations throughout DallasCounty that help young people take control of their lives, envision productive futures and reach their goals. One of its prominent programs, Collegiate STEPS, is designed to help Dallas area high school students overcome obstacles to become the first member of their families to attend college, including mentoring students one-on-one by navigating them through the college admissions process and helping them apply for scholarships and financial aid.  In 2011, BGCD introduced Career Ready, which is a program that will provide an alternative career path for teens who are not interested in pursuing a traditional college degree.

"BGCD is one of the premiere after-school youth development programs in Dallas that has distinguished itself for providing engaging and effective educational programs, and one of the most encouraging factors that contribute to our youth's excitement toward learning is the added support of committed and caring adults like Chris Trowbridge," said Charles English, President and CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas. "Chris represents a family legacy with the Boys & Girls Clubs that dates back to 1965 when his grandfather-in-law founded the first Club in West Dallas. Today, Chris continues the family tradition and exemplifies how ONE MAN can make a difference in the lives of Dallasyouth as a volunteer with Boys & Girls Club while balancing a demanding law practice."
