Bell Nunnally Partner Karen L. Hart is the featured speaker at the May Women’s Business Council – Southwest (WBCS), DFW Table Topics Luncheon – Dallas, addressing “Savvy Business Negotiation & Communication Strategies for Women.” She covers how to communicate effectively and negotiate successfully in difficult business situations, drawing upon her decade-plus experience handling these and other complex business issues for her clients.
The WBCS is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing and increasing mutually beneficial procurement opportunities for women-owned businesses in the corporate, government and institutional arenas throughout Arkansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Texas. The organization provides certification for women’s business enterprises (WBEs) through its role as a partner member of the national Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). Bell Nunnally is a Sustaining Member of the WBCS.
Hart’s multifaceted practice includes litigating and counseling clients with respect to complex commercial disputes, including general contractual, real estate and landlord-tenant disputes, lien and bond issues, foreclosure suits, lien priority claims, and business torts. With a growing global client base, Hart also advises clients on international litigation and arbitration matters and related cross-border transactions. Her legal acumen has been recognized by her peers, and she has been named a Texas Monthly “Rising Star” four times – including, most recently, in 2012.
Hart is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin School of Law (J.D., 2001) and the University of Texas, El Paso (B.A., 1997).
