Bell Nunnally Partner Daniel P. Elms has been appointed a contributing editor of the editorial board for the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Litigation News, a quarterly publication of the Section of Litigation offering articles on the latest developments in law, litigation trends and other topics of interest to litigators. Elms is currently co-editor of the ABA’s Business Torts Journal and was recently honored by the Section of Litigation as an "Outstanding Subcommittee Chair" for his chairmanship of the Business Torts & Unfair Competition Subcommittee.
Elms is an experienced business litigator representing domestic and international clients in numerous industries. His practice extends to virtually all aspects of business litigation and arbitration, including risk and exposure assessment and litigation planning. Recently, Elms obtained summary judgment on behalf of two hedge funds in a $4 million fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and state securities law claim. Elms’ current practice focuses on financial services and hedge fund litigation, earnout and projected earnings disputes, securities litigation (including broker-dealer disputes), intellectual property litigation and contractual indemnification claims.
