Brent D. Hockaday as a litigation associate.

Hockaday joins the firm’s Litigation and Labor, Employment and Benefits practices with a focus on complex commercial litigation and employment matters. He has experience litigating cases in federal and state courts, as well as administrative agencies across the country. Hockaday represents clients of all sizes in litigation matters, including issues such as Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), employment related torts and state-based anti-discrimination statues. He also advises clients on how to stay in compliance with state and federal regulations and provides pre-litigation counsel.
Hockaday joins the firm from Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C., where he was an associate in its Dallas office.
A graduate of Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law (J.D., 2012) and Baylor University (B.B.A., 2005), Hockaday is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Bar Association and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers.
