One of Only Six in North Texas Selected for Real Estate Law
Bell Nunnally & Martin LLP Partner Jean Pierre Boyea is featured in
The Dallas 500, a special publication from D Magazine Partners (publishers of
D Magazine and
D CEO), in the category of Law – Real Estate. Boyea is one of only six individuals selected for this sub-list, part of a larger roundup featuring 500 area business leaders from across more than 60 industries and business categories in North Texas.

D CEO and features the “most influential top executives” from across North Texas. According to the publication, selections were made based on extensive contacts in local business circles, hundreds of interviews and nearly a year’s worth of research.
Boyea’s profile briefly chronicles his life’s journey and what he describes as his toughest challenge and proudest moment. He also offers this advice in the piece, “It’s crucial that you pay attention to the details, but if you lose sight of the big picture, you’ll find yourself fighting the wrong battles.”
Boyea maintains a broad commercial real estate practice, with a significant focus on the representation of commercial landlords of shopping centers and mixed-use developments. He assists clients – including landlords, tenants, developers, lenders and investment entities – with a broad range of transactional matters from the sale and acquisition of properties to development and refinancing, with a special emphasis on retail leasing and day-to-day landlord/tenant issues. Boyea also has extensive experience with retail and office tenant representation, residential land acquisition and development, joint ventures, limited partnerships, limited liability companies and real estate-related financing transactions, as well as mechanic’s liens, easements, foreclosures, workouts, property owners’ associations and mortgage fraud cases.
Active in the community, Boyea is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas and the Dallas Bar Association. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin’s School of Law and Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs (J.D., 1994; M.P.A., 1994) and Rice University (B.S., M.E. 1986).
