Bell Nunnally & Martin LLP Partner Ross A. Williams is the 2016 recipient of the Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce’s “Chairman’s Award,” recognizing “an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the community and to the Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce.”

Williams has been a board member for the Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce since 2013 and founded and is currently president of the organization’s East Dallas Young Professionals Group. In addition to his involvement with the Chamber, Williams is a board member for Community Services of Doctors Hospital, Inc. and is heavily involved with the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers – including serving as 2016 co-chair for its Breakfast with Business Peers Committee.
Williams is a member of the firm’s Litigation; Intellectual Property; Labor, Employment, and Benefits; and Entertainment, Advertising and New Media practices. He has experience in complex matters involving contract disputes, business torts and intellectual property (patent, copyright and trademark infringement; Lanham Act claims; and misappropriation of trade secrets) litigation. Williams also represents creditors on promissory notes, guarantees, unpaid accounts and the foreclosure of secured properties. He is also experienced in handling internet defamation and cyber breach issues. Notably, Williams has briefed appellate matters before Texas courts of appeal and the Supreme Court of Texas, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court. He is a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law (J.D. with honors, 2008) and Tulane University (B.A. summa cum laude, 2005).
Williams was honored earlier this month, along with other Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce “Business Awards” selectees, at a luncheon featuring U.S. Congressman Jeb Hensarling.
