Bell Nunnally & Martin LLP has added two senior attorneys, Laura F. James as Senior Counsel and Jacob N. Pollack as partner.
“We’re pleased to welcome Jake and Laura to the firm,” said James Skochdopole, managing partner of Bell Nunnally. “Strengthening our healthcare and estate planning practices was a priority, and we certainly feel we have done so with these two very experienced and accomplished individuals.”
James is a member of the firm’s Healthcare and Corporate and Securities practice areas. She comes to Bell Nunnally with more than 20 years of experience representing entities and corporations – including physicians, physician groups and medical organizations – in corporate and transactional matters. James regularly assists healthcare clients with practice management, practice acquisition and disposition, contracting, leasing, employment, technology, regulatory (Stark Law, HIPAA, etc.) and compliance issues.
James is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School (J.D., 1986) and Blue Mountain College (B.A., 1983). Previously she served as an associate general counsel and later general counsel for a Dallas-based physician management company.
Pollack is a member of Bell Nunnally’s Private Clients and Estate Planning practice area. An Accredited Estate Planner, he regularly assists clients in sophisticated estate planning, family-owned business transactions and estate and trust litigation. Pollack works with clients to protect their assets and business interests; prepare for death, disability and financial crisis; avoid unnecessary taxation; and maximize business and financial opportunities.
Pollack is a graduate of St. Mary’s University School of Law (J.D., 1993) and the University of Texas at Austin (B.A., 1990). Active in the community, Pollack is a board member for the Children's Medical Foundation in Dallas and a former Board Chair and Endowment Trustee of the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas.
