Bell Nunnally Completes Move to Dallas Arts District's KPMG Plaza at Hall Arts

Bell Nunnally & Martin LLP has completed its move into the top two penthouse floors of KPMG Plaza at Hall Arts in Dallas’ Arts District. The firm, founded and headquartered in Dallas since 1980, was located in Uptown prior to the move.

“We are committed to staying and growing in the City of Dallas and are excited to be part of Downtown’s renewal. This workspace – in addition to offering a modern look with wonderful natural light – is an ideal environment for our attorneys and professionals and a visual complement to the sophisticated, high-quality service we pride ourselves on providing to clients,” said James Skochdopole, managing partner of Bell Nunnally.

HALL Arts is a 500,000-square-foot, 18-story office building that opened in 2015. It is “LEED-Gold Certified” by the U.S. Green Building Council. In addition to Bell Nunnally’s occupancy on the 18th and 19th floors, the site is home to the half-acre HALL Texas Sculpture Walk and three gourmet restaurants, with an accompanying full-service boutique hotel and residential tower planned.

Gensler designed the office, Scott + Reid served as general contractors and CBRE both brokered and managed the construction project. Bell Nunnally’s office buildout began in February and concluded in late July.

“Bell Nunnally embraced the transformations that would push them to be a law firm of the future,” said Cherrie Wysong, Gensler Project Manager. “With smart, future-proof planning and interior glass-front offices, we were able to give valuable real estate back to the employees.”

“Being part of the team tasked with finding a new space was challenging because the booming Dallas office market was full of outstanding opportunities. HALL Arts, however, proved to be the standout location for the firm to continue its growth,” said Bell Nunnally Partner Larry L. Shosid.

In the past five years, Bell Nunnally has added 41 attorneys, including 13 partners and launched several new practice areas, including Cryptocurrency/Bitcoin and Workplace Culture and Misconduct Investigations, in response to evolving market demands.

“Our goal was to find a premier space to call home. With 12-foot-high ceilings and expansive cityscape views, we feel confident that we have achieved our objective,” said Bell Nunnally Partner Christopher B. Trowbridge. “Occupying a high-profile space at this innovative complex will serve as yet another enticement to great legal talent considering joining our team and will also convey to visiting clients our commitment to excellence.”
